View Full Version : IMPORTANT!! Evolve Item Overhaul

Hello Might & Mayhem-ers!

I come with some exciting, but also potentially disruptive news: we are in the process of making sweeping changes to the existing items in the game.

What does this mean?

1. None of your fighters equipped effects will change. Many items will have new visuals and names, but whatever effect you have equipped on your fighters will remain.

2. However, evolve items will see some changes. One primary change is that all elite fighters will require 1 Legendary/Orange item to evolve. This actually brings elite evolution in line with the requirements for all other evolutions.

3. Besides elite evolutions, the evolution items for many other fighters will also see changes. While we cannot provide an exact list at this time, all players are encouraged to complete evolutions as soon as possible.

Why is this happening?

1. The original items were conceived as part of a crafting system that required 3 items to create a higher-tiered item, and in that system they all made some sense. This idea eventually got removed, but we were stuck with the items we had. This left us with some strange connections, particularly in the item upgrade chains.

2. The new item upgrade chains will hopefully make a lot more visual sense. Currently you can upgrade a Wooden Hammer into an Iron Hammer, an Iron Hammer into a Dwarven Hammer, and so on. But this is really the only clear chain of items. The item overhaul provides better defined chains, which should add a lot of clarity to the system.

3. While the change to the elite evolution item has been planned for a while, changes to the earlier evolve items are being made for both visual and conceptual clarity, ie. Poison items upgrading poisoning characters, and characters with shields using shields to evolve.

Making these changes are not something we take lightly. The last thing we want to do is disrupt your enjoyment of Might & Mayhem. But as we prep for launch both on the iOS platforms and the worldwide launch soon thereafter, we want to minimize the impact such a large change might have. Unfortunately we must impact existing players, but hopefully you will all agree that these changes are better for the long-term growth of the game. As we add support for new platforms and regions, a large influx of new players will be joining in. It is the continued support of our existing players that has allowed us to refine and improve Might & Mayhem. It is an ongoing process, so please let us know what you think, and we will do our best to help.

Again, please try and complete any evolutions you may be close to achieving as soon as possible. We will be pushing an update to improve our servers early next week, and most, if not all, of the item changes will be in effect with that update. The next event update featuring Dragons and 5 new red items will follow shortly thereafter.
